A new American Federation for Children Action Fund digital ad labels state superintendent candidate Jill Underly a hypocrite for calling herself a public schools advocate while sending her kids to private school.

The group added the $40,000 digital buy last week. That upped its investment in the race to $106,500, according to reports filed with the Ethics Commission.

The ad features video clips of Underly saying “I am pro-public school” from candidate forums this year as well as highlighted clips from newspapers about Underly sending her kids to private schools.

“What is Jill Underly hiding?” flashes across the screen following those clips.

The ad concludes with text reading “All kids deserve the chance to go to a great school,” before telling viewers to vote against Underly.
