Madison, WI – Americans for Prosperity – Wisconsin (AFP-WI) today applauded the Assembly for adopting a fiscally responsible budget and rejecting Governor Evers’ bloated spending wish list. The grassroots organization also called for the swift passage of a fiscally responsible budget proposal by the Senate which is expected to vote today and encourages Gov. Evers to sign it into law.
AFP-WI State Director Eric Bott issued the following statement:
“The Wisconsin Assembly has rightfully prioritized Wisconsinites across the state, standing strong against special interests to level the playing field and protect our precious tax dollars. Our lawmakers have worked hard to ensure that access to quality health care is maintained and right-to-work laws are protected. Additionally, historic tax cuts mean an unprecedented surplus heading back into the pockets of hardworking families and small businesses.”
