Ashland County Board Supervisor Laura Nagro will be holding virtual listening sessions to hear from constituents about the services they wish to see funded, issues affecting the county, and the upcoming Spring Referendum in April.

Supervisor Nagro’s listening sessions will be March 17th, 24th, and 31st on Zoom and will be live streamed on the Supervisor’s Facebook page. Constituents can RSVP here and are encouraged to follow Supervisor Nagro on Facebook at Facebook.com/District1Laura for county updates.

“Services in our county are in jeopardy. Over the last decade, the legislative folks in Madison have put more and more unfunded obligations on rural counties. Couple that with our decreasing ability to create revenue, continued patterns of spending, and you get a crisis. We do not have the tax base to continue supporting everything and tough decisions are past due,” said Nagro, “The buck needs to stop here. I do not feel one listening session is enough on something so important, so I am providing three more chances for that input.”

Constituents of District 1 in Ashland County can also reach out to Senator Nagro directly at any time with comments, concerns, or ideas on the budget.
