MILWAUKEE— Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore endorsed Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes for United States Senate.
“I’m thrilled to have Congresswoman Gwen Moore standing with us in our campaign to bring progressive change to the United States Senate,” said Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes. “Congresswoman Moore has always been a steadfast leader for communities like mine in Milwaukee, standing up for good-paying jobs, affordable and accessible health care, and action on the climate crisis. Together, standing shoulder to shoulder, I know we can build a movement that will win this primary, defeat Ron Johnson, and change the game in the United States Senate.”
“I’m so proud to endorse Mandela Barnes and his groundbreaking campaign to become Wisconsin’s next Senator,” said Congresswoman Gwen Moore. “I’ve known and worked with Mandela as a community organizer, state representative, and lieutenant governor and he has always stood up for working people in our state. In the Senate, Mandela will never stop fighting for opportunity for every Wisconsinite, no matter their zip code and that’s why I know he is the best candidate to beat Ron Johnson and change the game in the United States Senate.”
Congresswoman Moore’s endorsement comes one week after Barnes’ campaign launch and on the heels of his 12-stop announcement tour throughout the state. Congresswoman Moore joins MoveOn, the Working Families Party, Democracy for America, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and Collective PAC in her endorsement of Barnes.
