Dane County Executive Joe Parisi Endorses Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate

MADISON—Today, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi endorsed Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes for the United States Senate.

“I’m thrilled to have Executive Parisi standing shoulder to shoulder with us in this campaign,” said Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes. “With Joe’s support, and the support of working people all across this state, I know we can build a movement to beat Ron Johnson and change the game in the United States Senate.”

“I’m excited to announce that I’m endorsing our Lt. Governor, Mandela Barnes, for the United State Senate,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. “I’m so proud of the work Mandela has done traveling to every corner of this state, fighting for jobs we can support a family on, education we can build a future on, and health care that protects our health, not the wealth of corporations. And I’m especially proud of the work Mandela has done to combat the climate crisis. Mandela is the one candidate who can bring people together from all over Wisconsin and create real opportunity for everyone no matter which zip code they come from.”

Executive Parisi’s endorsement comes one week after Congresswoman Gwen Moore announced her support of Barnes and two weeks after Barnes launched his campaign with a 12-stop statewide tour highlighting his vision to create good-paying jobs, expand access to affordable health care, and tackle the climate crisis. Parisi joins Congresswoman Moore, State Senator Chris Larson, Collective PAC, Democracy for America, MoveOn, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and the Working Families Party in his endorsement of Barnes.
