MILWAUKEE— On the second week of his campaign for U.S. Senate, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes earned multiple endorsements, continued to earn strong coverage, and called out Ron Johnson and Robin Vos for their extremist agenda. See more below:
The Democratic primary for U.S. Senate is a little more than a year away but Milwaukee Congresswoman Gwen Moore didn’t waste a moment in making an endorsement.
She’s for Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes.
In a statement issued by the Barnes campaign, Moore said: “I’m so proud to endorse Mandela Barnes and his groundbreaking campaign to become Wisconsin’s next Senator.
“I’ve known and worked with Mandela as a community organizer, state representative, and lieutenant governor and he has always stood up for working people in our state. In the Senate, Mandela will never stop fighting for opportunity for every Wisconsinite, no matter their zip code and that’s why I know he is the best candidate to beat Ron Johnson and change the game in the United States Senate.”

Wisconsin members of MoveOn Political Action have voted decisively to support Mandela Barnes in the state’s U.S. Senate race, with an overwhelming 83% of votes cast in favor of backing Barnes. MoveOn also released an ad contrasting Barnes’ record of fighting for working families against Johnson’s advocacy for his fellow members of the top 1% and tax-dodging corporations.
MoveOn has over 150,000 members in Wisconsin and the Barnes endorsement is MoveOn’s first Senate endorsement of the 2022 cycle. Mandela Barnes is the candidate who will “change the game” with a progressive agenda that will help working families while also having the best chance to beat Ron Johnson in November.
Barnes also called out Ron Johnson for his “hard no” on the bipartisan infrastructure bill and Robin Vos for wasting taxpayer dollars while promoting Trump’s big lie:
