OCONTO – Outsider assembly candidate Elijah Behnke won the general election to be the new state representative for the 89th assembly district. Behnke defeated his democratic opponent, Karl Jaeger.
Of his win Elijah stated, “Words cannot describe how happy I am to have the trust and support of so many people in the 89th district. I am not a politician and never wanted to be. I wanted to make sure that our small business community and our traditional values are protected. This is a tremendous honor and I promise to work hard every day. It is time to get to work!”
Elijah Behnke was born and raised in the 89th Assembly district. He is a man of faith, father, husband, outdoorsman, farmer and small business owner. Elijah is Pro God, Pro Life and ProGun. He is for limited government and is the candidate of law, freedom and liberty.
The 89th assembly district covers part of Brown, Marinette and Oconto counties. Elijah will be replacing former state representative John Nygren. Elijah is excited to get to work to advocate for the issues that matter most for the district.
