MADISON – Today, Democratic members of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections released the following statement on the unhinged appearance by Mike Gableman in front of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections:
“Today, Mike Gableman refused to be up front with the people of Wisconsin and spent most of his time before our committee trying desperately to throw focus on anyone other than himself. He attacked Committee members, he attacked public officials, he attacked the press, and he attacked our democracy by spreading disinformation about Wisconsin elections.
“Mr. Gableman’s hyperpartisan bloviating might play well on right-wing social media, but his unhinged behavior and lack of transparency only confirmed he is unfit to perform any nonpartisan function in our state and underscored the fact that his efforts are a bad-faith, dangerous waste of taxpayer dollars. The longer this sham investigation continues, the more taxpayer dollars are wasted. Speaker Vos and Assembly Republicans should shut this sham down.”
