Gov. Tony Evers finished 2020 with $3.4 million in the bank, giving him a healthy balance to begin the upcoming election cycle if he runs for reelection in 2022.

For the year, Evers listed $3.9 million in receipts. That includes $2.7 million from the state Dem Party.

Republicans in 2015 overhauled state campaign finance laws to allow unlimited contributions from state parties to candidates.

By comparison, former Gov. Scott Walker finished 2012 with $793,861 in the bank and had $59,318 cash on hand to finish 2016, two years before he lost his reelection bid to Evers.

Evers listed 10 donations of $25,000 over the course of the 2020, including: AFT Wisconsin COPE; Forest County Potawatomi PAC; IBEW Local 494 PAC; Operating Engineers 139 PAC; 314 Action Victory PAC; WEAC PAC; WEC Energy Group PAC; Wisconsin Beer Distributors PAC; Wisconsin Laborers District Council; and Wisconsin Pipe Trades Association PAC.

Direct Supply Inc. Partners PAC gave the guv $30,000 split between donations of $15,000 each in January and June of 2020.
