MADISON, Wis. – Governor Tony Evers joined in the celebration of National Cheese Curd Day today, honoring Wisconsin’s dairy farmers and joining in the CurderBurger craze sweeping the state.

Digging into the Culver’s CurderBurger, Evers called it a “State of Mind,” “Mammoth,” and a “Hell of a Burger.” Video of the governor’s celebration of National Cheese Curd Day is available on the campaign’s social media channels, and a photo of the taste test is available here.

Governor Evers has been a strong partner for Wisconsin’s agriculture producers as they bounce back from the pandemic. In addition to allocating millions in federal aid directly to producers, he recently introduced a legislative package to invest even more in Wisconsin’s agricultural economy and create new markets for Wisconsin farmers.

“As a lifelong Wisconsinite who grew up working in the cheese capital of the world, Governor Evers knows a thing or two about cheese curds and the importance of supporting Wisconsin dairy farmers,” said Tony for Wisconsin Communications Director Sam Roecker. “On National Cheese Curd Day and year-round, Wisconsin can count on Governor Evers to be an advocate for dairy breakthroughs like the CurderBurger.”
