Second District Court of Appeals candidate Shelley Grogan launched her first TV ad today, saying she’s running against “Tony Evers’ handpicked candidate to defend our constitutional freedoms and the rule of law.”
Grogan’s campaign declined to release details of the buy other than saying it will run statewide.
In the spot, Grogan touts the endorsements of sheriffs along with Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley and former Justice Dan Kelly, both conservatives.
She doesn’t mention by name opponent Jeff Davis, appointed to the bench by Evers to fill the vacancy created when Brian Hagedorn won a spot on the state Supreme Court.
“We need judges who know their job isn’t legislating from the bench but interpreting the law as written,” she says.
