(Green Bay, Wis.) – The Board of Directors of the Jackie Nitschke Center (JNC) is again stepping up and challenging the community for #GivingTuesday.

“We will match – dollar for dollar – all #GivingTuesday donations up to a total of $5,000,” stated Tom Bartel, JNC board president. “We continue to see an increase in demand for addiction treatment services in the community and all donations are helpful.”

Based in Green Bay and serving Northeast Wisconsin and beyond, the Jackie Nitschke Center is dedicated to helping those facing substance abuse. JNC offers residential and out-patient programming, family education and support programming, and recovery housing.

“Donations will go a long way to help us meet the need in the community which has grown significantly since the start of the pandemic,” said Michelle Pierquet-Hohner, JNC’s Director of Community & Donor Engagement. “It also makes it possible to ensure that no one gets turned away for the inability to afford treatment.”

Bartel adds, “This matching grant is a way to stretch your personal donation and make an even greater impact.” Donors are also encouraged to check with their employers to determine if they also offer a matching contribution.

The Jackie Nitschke Center has been saving lives and restoring families from substance use addiction for nearly 50 years providing education, treatment, support and HOPE to adults and families affected by drug and alcohol addiction through residential and outpatient programming
