Joint Finance plans three public hearings on budget, one virtual

The Joint Finance Committee will hit three Wisconsin cities for in-person public hearings on the guv’s budget with a fourth that will be virtual as lawmakers begin the process of reviewing the two-year plan.
The first public hearing will be April 9 at UW-Whitewater followed by April 21 in Rhinelander and April 22 in Menomonie. The virtual hearing will follow April 28.
All four hearings will run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For the in-person hearings, local officials will monitor capacity, spacing and other issues, while pre-registration will be required for the virtual hearing.
