Kenosha, WIS. – Governor Evers announced today that the Kenosha Kingfish are one of 17 recipients of a grant made available to minor league sports teams throughout Wisconsin as part of the Minor League Sports Grant that was announced last summer. The grants are funded by the American Rescue Plan and will go a long way in helping the organization recover from the negative impacts of the pandemic.
“The Kingfish have long played a big role in bringing our community together,” said team President Steve Malliet.“ We would like to thank Governor Evers for recognizing the important role that the team plays throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and for investing in the long-term quality of life for our residents.”
The Kingfish are set to begin their 2022 season in late May at historic Simmons Field.
