Larson drops out of U.S. Senate race, backs Barnes

State Sen. Chris Larson, D-Milwaukee, today dropped out of the race for U.S. Senate and endorsed Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes.
Larson, who got into the race in late May, trailed his rivals for fundraising in the second quarter with $51,480 in receipts. He would’ve had to give up his state Senate seat if he had stayed in the race for U.S. Senate.
