LFB memo details tax, fee hikes, increased collection efforts in Evers budget

Along with increasing taxes by a net $1 billion, Gov. Tony Evers’ budget would hike fees $17.2 million, according to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
The budget’s enhanced collection efforts also would generate an additional $78 million in revenue over the biennium.
When Evers rolled out his budget last month, the administration acknowledged the net impact would increase taxes by more than $1 billion.
