LFB: Milwaukee schools in line for more than one-third of federal COVID aid

Milwaukee Public Schools is in line for more than a third of the more than $2.2 billion in federal aid Wisconsin districts will receive through the three stimulus packages approved over the past year, according to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
The LFB memo shows MPS will receive nearly $798 million once all of the money is disbursed. The infusion of federal funds works out to $11,242 per student.
On the other end of the spectrum is the McFarland School District, which is in line for $654,913, or $107 per student.
