In celebration of Giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021, the Madison Parks Foundation is proud to announce a matching gift program of $30,000.  From Giving Tuesday until the end of 2021, the Foundation’s Board has dedicated $30,000 to match gifts donated, offering donors the opportunity to double their donation and double the impact, while helping make our parks more accessible, inclusive and equitable.

The Foundation is currently fundraising to add 5 fully accessible playgrounds across the community and has expanded its scope with the creation of a new fund to add programming and elements to our parks system that will continue efforts to create accessibility and inclusivity at all our parks.

Thanks to the generous donation from the Foundation and an anonymous donor, an accessible mat and platform were added to Bernie’s Beach so that those with mobility challenges can smoothly get a wheelchair or walk with crutches across the sandy beach.  “With more accessible assets being added to our parks and the Madison Parks Foundation’s sponsoring of the Learning Series programming, we are able to offer more accessibility and free or low-cost, activities and programs to everyone in the community,” said Stephanie Franklin, Executive Director

“When you donate to our incredible parks, be sure to see if your company makes a gifting match so you can triple your donation!” Franklin adds.
