MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Board’s Finance Committee will host a public hearing on the 2022 Milwaukee County Budget on Monday, October 18 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Finance Committee looks forward to providing a forum to hear from the public on Milwaukee County’s budget,” said Supervisor Haas. “The budget process would not be complete without direct input from our constituents.”

Monday’s hearing provides an opportunity for the public to speak directly to Supervisors who sit on the Finance Committee about the budget. Separately, the full Board of Supervisors will hold its annual public budget hearing on Monday, November 1 at 6 p.m.

The public can register to speak at the hearing either via Microsoft Teams or by phone at Milwaukee.gov/PublicComment. Public comment will be limited to two minutes per person.

The recommended method is to join the meeting virtually using the Microsoft Teams app. Anyone with a personal computing device with a working camera and microphone, and can connect to the internet, can join virtually using Teams.

Participants who do not have access to the necessary technology to join the hearing via an internet-connected device may participate by phone.

Those who wish to follow the proceedings but not comment can watch and listen to the hearing online via the County Legislative Information Center (CLIC).

The Finance Committee will consider Supervisors’ amendments to the County Executive’s budget beginning the following week on Oct. 26, 27, 28, and Nov. 3.
