Appleton, WI – Today, the Nelson for Wisconsin campaign announced a new endorsement from Erin Davisson, the legendary anchor for WFRV-TV who spent 32 years covering Green Bay and the Fox River Valley, becoming a trusted voice for the community. Davisson also captured hearts during her public battle with a rare genetic disorder that poisoned her liver, raising awareness for the importance of organ donations. In 2020, Davisson retired and was named a Local Broadcast Legend by the Wisconsin Broadcasting Association. Davisson said in her endorsement:

“During my 32 years at WFRV, I was honored to bring you the news that mattered to the families of northeast Wisconsin. Now, I am delighted to endorse Tom Nelson for U.S. Senate. I’ve known Tom for many years and have seen him up close in action. He’s a thoughtful leader who has served Outagamie County and northeast Wisconsin well whether it was fighting to keep the Appleton Coated mill open, helping lead our community through the pandemic or passing balanced budgets and providing essential services to his county and I know he will do the same for our state in Washington, D.C.”

Tom Nelson said in response, “Short of the Green Bay Packers endorsing me, I can’t think of a more meaningful endorsement. I have relied on and admired Erin’s steadfast reporting and community leadership and know how much we here in Northeast Wisconsin have treasured her graceful presence on our airwaves. I am truly honored by her support.”
