Washington, D.C. – Democrat Senate candidates will do anything to stay in the good graces of the radical Left-wing of their party, even if that means eliminating the filibuster to force their reckless, socialist agenda on the American people.
Here is what some of the Democrat candidates are saying about the filibuster:
- In Pennsylvania: Lt. Gov. John Fetterman told Axios: “It’s incumbent on us as a party to use the opportunities that we have,” referring to Democrats’ Washington trifecta of controlling the House, Senate and White House. His primary challengers Malcolm Kenyatta and Val Arkoosh also support nixing the filibuster.
- In Wisconsin: Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes supports eliminating the filibuster, as does his Democrat challengers Alex Lasry and Tom Nelson.
- In North Carolina: Despite Senate candidate Cheri Beasley trying to walk it back, she too has caved to the Left and supports eliminating the filibuster.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Democrat Senate candidates are caving to the far Left of their party and supporting the elimination of the filibuster so they can pass a radical agenda to hurt hard-working American families. Voters are rejecting the Democrats’ agenda so Democrat candidates want to change the rules to ram their policies through anyway. It may help them win a primary, but general election voters have and will continue to reject the radical agenda being pushed in Democrat primaries across the country.”
