EAU CLAIRE, Wis.—On the heels of President Joe Biden’s announcement of a Covid-19 vaccine “month of action,” Opportunity Wisconsin, SHIFT Cyclery & Coffee Bar, and the Eau Claire City-County Health Department are teaming up for a “SHOT FOR SHOT” event on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6. The first 200 Eau Claire area residents who present a valid vaccination card at SHIFT will receive a free espresso shot, or equivalent beverage.
“For the past year, we felt it was safest for our community to close our doors to sit down guests,” said Laura Lash, Co-Owner at SHIFT Cyclery & Coffee Bar. “Now, thanks to widespread access to vaccines, made possible in part by the American Rescue Plan, small businesses like ours are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, there’s more work to do to get folks vaccinated and we’re excited to be part of this effort as we begin to welcome our friends and neighbors back to SHIFT.”
