LA CROSSE, WI – Today, former State Senator Patty Schachtner announced her endorsement of Brad Pfaff for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Brad Pfaff has proven he will stand up and fight for the people of Wisconsin and we need his leadership in Congress,” said Schachtner. “I voted to confirm Brad as Wisconsin’s Agriculture Secretary and now I’m glad to endorse his candidacy for Congress. I look forward to working with him to defend this district and support western Wisconsin families.”

“The stakes couldn’t be higher. Our Democracy, our clean water and our right to choose are all under threat. In the State Senate, Brad has voted to ensure we have free and fair elections and he’s fought to protect clean water. Brad has voted to stop dangerous anti women legislation that would hurt our families and our communities. Brad will stand up for us in Congress and I stand with Brad.”

“I thank Patty for her support and for her continued service to the people of Wisconsin. Patty’s leadership in the State Senate and in St. Croix County sets an example we should all strive for,” said Pfaff. “Patty and I were both raised on farms here in western Wisconsin. Like Patty, I carry those farm values with me to work every day – values like honesty, community and fairness.”

“Unfortunately, too many in Washington have forgotten who they work for. I’m running for congress to solve the problems families actually face. These times demand action, they demand cooperation and they demand change. It’s time we all pulled together to build a brighter tomorrow. Let’s get to work”

Brad was raised on a dairy farm in northern La Crosse County and has dedicated his career to serving Wisconsin communities and family farmers. Appointed as Wisconsin’s Secretary of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection in 2019 and elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2020, Brad has worked to support small businesses, ensure our kids can get an excellent education, provide tax relief for middle class families and defend a free and fair democracy. Brad also understands the challenges faced by Wisconsin’s family farmers. Brad has been a leader in the development of agriculture and economic policy working with former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl and U.S. Representative Ron Kind.
