MILWAUKEE, WI — Today, a dozen advocacy organizations from across the state sent a letter to the Wisconsin congressional delegation urging swift action to pass President Biden’s American Rescue Plan. The letter comes as COVID-19 continues to spread in Wisconsin and across the country, claiming innocent lives, and causing unspeakable devastation.

Delivering relief into the hands of Americans, fixing the Trump administration’s disastrous vaccine distribution rollout, and getting resources to states and localities are vital to our country’s pandemic response, and President Biden’s American Rescue Plan is the long overdue federal response Wisconsinites need.

“A crisis of this magnitude requires a robust, comprehensive response that will both alleviate the short-term suffering of people across the United States and work towards long-term investments in America’s health and economy. Please stand with Wisconsin’s families, frontline health care workers, and communities and pass the American Rescue Plan without delay.”
