MADISON – On Thursday, at its annual meeting in Minneapolis, the Organization of MISO States (OMS) elected Commissioner Tyler Huebner of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) as Executive Committee Secretary, replacing Missouri Public Service Commissioner Ryan Silvey. Commissioner Huebner has served as Wisconsin’s Commissioner Delegate for OMS since March of 2021.
The OMS is a not-for-profit, 17-member board consisting of one commissioner from each retail jurisdiction in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) footprint and serves as the regional state committee.
The purpose of the OMS is to coordinate regulatory oversight among its members, to make recommendations to MISO, the MISO Board of Directors, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and other relevant government entities and state commissions as appropriate, and to intervene in proceedings before the FERC to express the positions of the OMS member agencies.
