MADISON, WI – RENEW Wisconsin Executive Director, Heather Allen, released the following statement today in response to the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of the Build Back Better bill.

“RENEW Wisconsin applauds the House passage of the Build Back Better bill. This package of investments charts a course forward to invest in America’s heartland, create clean energy job opportunities for Wisconsinites, and bolster transportation systems, homes, and businesses.

The tax credit expansions included in this bill for solar, wind, biogas, microgrids, geothermal, electric vehicles, and energy storage will help Wisconsin farmers, homeowners, schools, local governments, and small businesses save money on energy bills, all while advancing a clean environment for all of our communities.

RENEW thanks Representatives Kind, Pocan, and Moore for their work to pass this bill in the House and calls on Senators Baldwin and Johnson to help move the bill forward in the Senate. We look forward to the realization of the clean energy investments in this package that will help position Wisconsin as a leader in clean energy technology and jobs.”
