[Madison, WI] – Representative Calvin Callahan (R-Tomahawk) is currently accepting nominations for the 35th Assembly District’s 2021 First Responder of the Year Award. Our dedicated first responders, including police officers, fire fighters, and EMS personnel, work selflessly every day to keep our families and communities safe. This award will highlight one individual from each Assembly district who embodies that dedication and selflessness and recognize them at an upcoming State Assembly Floor Session at the end of October.

Reasons for nominating a first responder could include any of the following:

  • a specific heroic action,
  • a significant professional achievement,
  • certain community involvement over the course of their work,
  • his/her body of work over time, or
  • his/her length of service.

Nominations must be returned to Rep. Callahan’s office no later than Friday, October 8th. Nominations can be submitted online through Rep. Callahan’s website at RepCalvinCallahan.com or by sending the name, contact information, and a brief description of the candidate to Rep.Callahan@legis.wisconsin.gov.
