MADISON – Representative James Edming (R-Glen Flora) issued the following statement in response to the violence at the US Capitol yesterday.

“Just like many folks across the 87th Assembly District, I am incredibly disappointed with the results of the presidential election. While I support the right of citizens to exercise their First Amendment right to peaceably assemble, the violence committed by some yesterday in our nation’s capital, just like the violence we saw in Madison and Kenosha this past summer, is completely unacceptable. Those who committed these acts of violence against our seat of government must be held accountable for their actions and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
