MADISON – Representative Dianne Hesselbein (D – Middleton) released the following statement commending Senator Jon Erpenbach on his outstanding career.
“I wish to recognize and congratulate Senator Jon Erpenbach on his service to the State of Wisconsin. Jon has represented his constituents with deliberation and commitment in the State Senate for many years.
He is one of the finest communicators I have ever met. His concise ability to voice the priorities of his district, his passion for clarifying effective legislation, his extraordinary sense of humor, and his famous one-line zingers will be missed. He has made his mark and created a proud legacy we will remember.
I have had the pleasure of working with Senator Erpenbach since first being elected to the Middleton-Cross Plains Area Board of Education in 2005. He consistently provided insights—and sound solutions—to district challenges and opportunities. I will never forget all he did for worker’s rights during the Act 10 debate, nor his strong advocacy for Medicaid expansion during Joint Finance Committee hearings. He has made his mark and created a proud legacy Wisconsin will remember.
Congratulations, Senator Jon Erpenbach, on a well-deserved retirement, and thank you for your many years of devotion and passion for improving the lives of Wisconsin residents. You will be missed.”
