MADISON – Wisconsin State Representative Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement following Assembly Democratic Assistant Leader Dianne Hesselbein’s (D-Middleton) announcement that she will step down from her leadership position:
“I want to extend my deep thanks to Representative Hesselbein for her dedication and service to our state. During my time in the legislature, Dianne has been an exemplary legislator and leader who has helped build our caucus’s collective strength.
“Representative Hesselbein has been invaluable in our pursuit of policy that moves Wisconsin forward. As a female legislator, Dianne has been a role model for how women in the legislature can lead with purpose. Her mentorship and support of me and every member of our caucus has been vital to our success.
“I am extremely appreciative and thankful to have served under Representative Hesselbein. The next year will present our caucus with new challenges, and I am glad that she will continue to offer her expertise on our shared work.”
