Pewaukee — Today Rep. Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) issued the following statement in response to the Wisconsin Supreme Court opinion on Fabick v. Evers:
“Today’s Supreme Court opinion is a win for our civil liberties and confirms Governor Evers’ administration continually overstepped their authority. This decision is not based on masks or on what a governor thinks is best for the people of Wisconsin. It’s unfortunate it took a Supreme Court ruling to inform the Governor that a state of emergency may not last longer than 60 days unless approved by the legislature; however, now there can be no misunderstanding.
“As the people of this state look forward to returning to normal and businesses work toward reopening fully in our state, I urge everyone to follow CDC guidelines and if comfortable consider getting vaccinated.”
