MADISON – Tonight, Governor Tony Evers delivered his budget address and introduced the Badger Bounceback agenda to the Wisconsin State Legislature. In response, Rep. Sara Rodriguez (D-Brookfield) issued the following statement:
“Governor Evers addressed the challenges our state faces and outlined a bold vision that will lay the ground work for Wisconsin to move forward together over the coming biennium. I applaud Gov. Evers for proposing a budget that will invest in public education, ensure Wisconsinites have access to affordable health care, and support increased economic development and innovation as our state continues to recover from COVID-19.
“The past eleven months have challenged everyone, but the Governor’s budget will set the stage for us to bounceback from the COVID-19 pandemic. I look forward to discussing, debating, and supporting a budget the puts the people of Wisconsin first.”
