GREEN BAY – Today, State Representative Kristina Shelton, Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, Green Bay Metro Fire Chief David Litton, and I.A.F.F. Local 141 President Ryan Hintz presented an award recognizing Tyler Kreiter as the 90th Assembly District’s First Responder of the Year. In response to this ceremony, Representative Shelton offered this statement:

“I am honored to present the award for the 90th Assembly District’s First Responder of the Year to Tyler Kreiter. We celebrate Tyler’s dedication to the safety and wellbeing of the people of Green Bay through his fifteen years of service with the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, where he serves as a firefighter engineer. Even in the face of his recent battle with cancer, Tyler has shown unwavering commitment to returning to his duties. His courage, perseverance, and sacrifice in the face of adversity exemplify all that is exceptional about our First Responders and we are lucky to have people like him protecting our community.”

Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich added, “Tyler’s commitment to service and bravery as a Green Bay Firefighter is an example to us all. His years of excellent work on behalf of the residents of Green Bay make this honor so well-deserved, and his recent fight with cancer is an inspiration to the community. I am honored to join so many others in celebrating this honor with his colleagues, friends, and family, and I thank Rep. Shelton for recognizing Tyler with this distinction.”
