MADISON, WI- On the tragedy that struck the City of Waukesha last night, Representative Stubbs (D-Madison) released the following statement:

“My prayers are with the people of Waukesha, and to all the communities that have been impacted by this senseless act of violence. For such tragedy to strike during a holiday celebration is unthinkable. Please join me in praying for the victims and their families during this time.”

“The Waukesha Community Foundation and the United Way have created a ‘United for Waukesha Community Fund’. This fund will assist the families of the victims and be found here: The Department of Health Services is also offering a Disaster Distress Helpline for all those experiencing emotional distress. “Thank you to all the EMT’s and First Responders that took charge in the immediate aftermath. Your work is more than appreciated. In these times of tragedy, it is vital that we check in on ourselves, and our loved ones. While nothing will erase the events of last night, I pray we can come together and heal as a community.”
