Madison, WI – Attorney Diane Schlipper officially announced that she is running for Judge in Dane County Circuit Court Branch 3, which is an open seat due to an upcoming retirement.
Diane grew up in a small town in the midwest and was the first person in her family to graduate from college. Before she became an attorney, Diane was a social worker for 10 years, serving children and families impacted by addiction, trauma and mental health issues. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School and has over 10 years of experience as a trial attorney.
Among professionals in the criminal justice system, she has earned the reputation as being someone who is compassionate and dedicated to protecting crime victims, while also safeguarding the rights of defendants. She has prosecuted a wide range of cases, including human trafficking, child exploitation,
and homicide. Whether Diane is working with survivor advocacy groups or those supporting reentry initiatives, she remains dedicated to the mission of public service and the goal of achieving a just outcome for the community as a whole.
When not in the courtroom, Diane gives back to her community by volunteering and participating in charity events. She and her husband have completed numerous Ironman competitions and enjoy competitive cycling. Given Diane’s love of the outdoors, she values our state’s natural resources and supports environmental protection initiatives so future generations can enjoy all that makes Wisconsin an amazing place to live.
