Brookfield, WI – School Choice Wisconsin (SCW) has named Mary McIntosh to the position of president effective April 5, said Susan Mitchell, acting president and board chair.
McIntosh has 13 years of successful leadership of two highly respected private schools in
Milwaukee. She is currently the president of St. Thomas More High School, a private school in Milwaukee that participates in Wisconsin’s parental choice programs. She formerly served as president of Notre Dame School of Milwaukee.
“Mary brings deep passion for parent choice and strong leadership skills to SCW,” Mitchell said. “Thanks to her knowledge of the needs of parents and the schools that serve them, our staff has relied frequently on her counsel and they welcome her with great pleasure.”
Mitchell noted that in addition to her school leadership, McIntosh has other valuable business and nonprofit experience with strategic planning, start-ups, team building, and marketing and communications.
“Our board looks forward to working with Mary to build on the considerable gains that Jim
Bender and the SCW team have made during the past decade,” Mitchell said. Bender is the
former president of SCW and currently serves as its Government Affairs Consultant.
