MADISON – Today, the jury in the case of Kyle Rittenhouse delivered a verdict of not guilty, clearing him of all charges.
Senator Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement:
“Kyle Rittenhouse crossed the state line. He shot and killed two people, injured another, and wreaked havoc on a community in crisis with a deadly weapon. My thoughts are with the victims’ loved ones, the greater Kenosha community, and those harmed by the injustices of our current systems.
“It is clear that disparities and racism are rooted throughout our society and must be addressed. As Wisconsinites, we all need to double down to be a part of a larger solution that will ensure there is real systemic change.”
