OSHKOSH— On Thursday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) released the following statement:
As we enter the Thanksgiving holiday, our hearts are heavy remembering the tragic events that occurred in Waukesha on Sunday.
But as we witnessed the worst of human behavior, we also saw the best as people rushed to respond and heal, to provide comfort and hope. So even in the midst of tragedy, we can still be thankful for the good in our fellow citizens.
We will all hug our loved ones a little tighter this Thanksgiving as we count our blessings and pray for all those whose lives have been forever changed.
