Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement regarding the announcement that Representative Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) will not seek re-election to the State Assembly in order to pursue statewide office.

“I want to thank Rep. Loudenbeck for her years of public service and wish her well on her run for Secretary of State. I know, if elected, she will have the same tenacity and dedication as Secretary of State, using her expertise to elevate and enhance the role for the betterment of Wisconsin.

“Amy was recognized by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) as a Woman in Politics Making a Difference. She has certainly made her mark in the Legislature and her district with her strong leadership and grit.

“Amy has been a real asset to the caucus, so on behalf of the Assembly Republican Caucus, I want to congratulate Amy on all she has accomplished during her time here in the Legislature and hope she will soon be the next Secretary of State.”
