WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) today released the following statement opposing Speaker Pelosi’s attempt to tie a debt ceiling increase to a Continuing Resolution.
“Thanks to Speaker Pelosi, the House was in session for three days over the course of the past seven weeks. Now, after this long and unearned vacation, she’s trying to sell a last-minute Continuing Resolution combined with an increase in the debt ceiling to make room for Bernie Sanders’ socialist spending spree. This is bad for Wisconsin and bad for America. We need to restore some fiscal sanity to Congress.”
