WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) announced his House committee assignments for the 117th Congress. Tiffany will serve on the House Committee on Natural Resources and House Judiciary Committee.

“As a member of the Natural Resources Committee I look forward to defending American energy independence, improving forest management practices, reducing our reliance on other countries for strategic raw materials, protecting the rights of sportsmen, and making sure that Wisconsin wildlife conservation decisions stay in Wisconsin,” said Tiffany.

“I am committed to working with my colleagues on the Judiciary Committee to defend our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, strengthen border security, protect free speech online and hold Big Tech companies accountable,” Tiffany added.

The House Judiciary Committee has jurisdiction over key policy issues related to constitutional questions, crime, terrorism, immigration, anti-trust law, the federal judiciary, civil rights, and the U.S. Department of Justice.

The House Committee on Natural Resources oversees agencies like the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service, tackles key issues like species and land management, mining and energy development, water and power, ocean policy, and legislation related to Indian Tribes, U.S. territories and insular areas like Puerto Rico and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
