State superintendent candidate Jill Underly knocks her opponent as untrustworthy in her first TV ad ahead of the general election.
Underly’s campaign said the spot will run on broadcast and cable TV statewide as part of a “significant six-figure buy.” The campaign said it will run in every major market, but didn’t provide additional details.
Underly, superintendent of Pecatonica School District, opens the ad touting her record leading schools to high achievement, expanding preschool and balancing the budget.
She then says former Brown Deer Superintendent Deb Kerr, who Underly only refers to as “myr opponent,” tried to cover up a “half-million dollar school financial scandal.”
“Our kids deserve better,” Underly says before closing the spot, “I’ll always do what’s best for our kids.”
