PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI – Today, Joe Biden spoke on his politically motivated efforts to provide relief for American families suffering because of his self-inflicted inflation crisis as we enter the holiday season. President Biden’s speech was filled with half-hearted measures that fail to address the root of the problem: Biden and Pelosi’s reckless spending driving up costs.
Derrick Van Orden responded to President Biden’s speech today:
“The President today proved to the American people that his administration is unwilling to fix the problems he and Nancy Pelosi created through bad policy and radical spending.
In a little over 10 months, our country has gone from energy independent to having to open our strategic reserves of oil in a desperate attempt to lower gas prices because Americans can’t buy gas and groceries on the same day. As winter approaches here in Wisconsin, many people may not be able to afford heating their homes this winter due to the 54% increase in propane costs. Biden and Pelosi have created these problems, and playing politics shows they are not serious.”
