PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI – Yesterday, federal prosecutors announced charges being brought against two Afghan refugees relocated to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin’s 3rd District. One defendant is charged with 3 counts of engaging in a sexual act with a minor, while the other was charged with assaulting his spouse, strangling and nearly suffocating her.

Derrick released the following statement in response to the charges being brought against these individuals:

The Biden administration’s complete incompetence and failure to properly vet got 13 of our service men and women killed needlessly and has now put the most vulnerable evacuees at risk.

The refugees being charged with vile crimes committed at Fort McCoy were certainly not among those who saved my life or the lives of my fellow service members in Afghanistan. The Biden Administration had no plan to evacuate our allies and instead opened the floodgates to tens of thousands of unvetted Afghans so the President could read a number off of a card on TV.

As a nation, we promised the Afghans that helped us during the war that we would protect them, and as a nation our word must be our bond.

However, we have a sacred duty to our fellow Americans and those whom we have brought into our care to protect them from the horrible crimes that are taking place under the Biden administration. President Biden is failing on a spectacular level on both accounts and the American people see this.

What is the Biden administration doing to address the issues they have brought to our shores?
