(WAUKESHA, WI) – Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow has signed Waukesha County COVID-19 Executive Order #4, which allows the County to use existing budget appropriations up to $2.3 million to fund the operation of the community vaccination program until the Board of Supervisors can consider an ordinance approving the use of federal funding. The full order is available here.

“Waukesha County is taking new action to boost our public health infrastructure to historic levels,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. “This order ensures that the funding mechanisms are in place as we continue to expand our network of vaccinators, and as we wait for much needed federal funds.”

Waukesha County’s scalable, community-based vaccination strategy leverages existing healthcare, emergency service providers, educational and business partnerships to vaccinate the population while maintaining existing COVID-19 infrastructure. Information about additional community vaccination opportunities will be available in February.

The policy shall remain in effect until modified by further order or action of the Waukesha County Board.
