MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R- Kaukauna) released the weekly radio address on behalf of Wisconsin Legislative Republicans.
Hi, I’m Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke with this week’s Republican radio address.
Over the past year, our state has been through many trials and tribulations combating the
pandemic. We have all experienced hardships, made sacrifices and most importantly we have all worked hard as a state to prove and show our resiliency. There is no question that as a team we have taken the necessary steps forward to bring our state out of the dark tunnel and back into the bright lights at center court.
Similar to our state, the Milwaukee Bucks weathered the storm and came back from a two game deficient, to ultimately win the NBA Championship in 6 games. That’s right, the Bucks in six! I would like to congratulate the players and coaching staff on their hard fought historical victory to bring the championship trophy back to our state which was last won 50 years ago.
We as Wisconsinites have tremendous pride for our sports teams and stand tall together whether we win or lose, and we certainly endure the ups and downs together. I believe these traits speak volumes as who we are as individuals and the message we send as a state. No matter how rough the road gets, we always find a way to persevere.
Please join my fellow colleagues and me by congratulating the Bucks on their historic win.
