[Madison, WI] — This week, Senate President Chris Kapenga delivered the weekly Republican radio address highlighting the accomplishments of 2021.
Hey Everyone, Senate President Chris Kapenga.
As we come to the close of 2021, I was just reflecting on the values that the Republican
legislature upheld over the past year through our legislation.
Number 1, we support law enforcement because we believe in safe neighborhoods. We also
support criminals being held accountable for their bad decisions instead of the soft on crime
approach that is destroying many of our cities in Wisconsin and across the nation.
We advocated for increased protection for the unborn because they can’t defend themselves.
With the Covid virus, we fought against unnecessary government shutdowns of society.
And in education, we feel that parents have a right to determine what’s taught to their kids
versus government having complete control.
Why do we stand for these things? Simply because we believe people are more capable than government to decide what’s best for them and their family.
