The signing of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Legislation, Act 29, is an historic event for law enforcement and other first responders. The law will enable those who have experienced a traumatic situation while on the job to receive much needed medical care and allow them to begin the healing process.

Law enforcement professionals, first responders, their families, and the communities they serve, will all be better due to the signing of the legislation into law.

The Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association wish to thank Governor Evers and the entire Legislature for supporting those who protect our Wisconsin communities.
