MADISON, Wis. — Today, local elected officials from across Wisconsin are praising President Biden and Democrats in Congress for passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, touting how the deal will benefit their communities on a local level.

President Biden’s deal builds on the historic investments Governor Evers has made during his first term. Governor Evers’ first budget included nearly a half-billion dollars in transportation funding, and even during the pandemic hundreds of road improvement projects moved forward, some under budget and ahead of schedule. Repairs have been made in virtually every corner of the state and Wisconsin’s roads are ranked 8th in the nation.
