Wisconsin Dells, Wis. — During his speech at the Wisconsin Republican’s State Convention, Ron Johnson focused on his self-serving agenda and not the biggest issues facing Wisconsinites. In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Communications Advisor Philip Shulman released the following statement:
“Ron Johnson once again showed Wisconsinites that he’s only concerned with fulfilling his personal ambitions, not doing what is in their best interests.”

- Johnson has made it his mission in the Senate to repeal the Affordable Care Act, despite the fact nearly 200,000 Wisconsinites get health coverage through the marketplace and another nearly 900,000 rely on the ACA for protections for pre-existing conditions.
- When it came to supporting Wisconsin families Johnson voted against pandemic relief, investing in workers, and has stated he doesn’t support the child-care tax credit. But Johnson helped craft Trump’s tax bill to benefit his company.
- Despite tough talk on holding China accountable, Johnson tried to kill the US Innovation and Competition Act, which would take on China for their cyber security attacks, intellectual property theft, and attempts to rig the economy in their favor.
